HEUTE-UND
GO WHERE THE LOVE IS EP - **NOW ON BANDCAMP**
When MegaUpload went down, so did the links to this EP. Now on Bandcamp on the link above. Still completely free, but you can also donate if you really, really, like it. Thanks again - Simon.
I am very proud/relieved/excited to finally release this.
This is a seven track EP, designed to be played at high volume. It is free to download, and please share it if you like it.
Thanks to everyone involved, and thankyou for downloading. I hope you enjoy it.
This also signals the end of Heute-Und for the foreseeable future.
Thank you
Thanks to everyone who came along to Electric Lake II!
It was unfortunate that the weather turned sour with only four bands left to play, Cat Cat, Waterford, Killing Birds and The Fighting League.
This website will remain active and continue to feed you golden Canberra music action until the next Electric Lake (III).
Thank you again for supporting this bubbling scene.

No no, thank you.

Fuuuuuuck. Hair.
Snap, Jac.
My ears hurt so bad the following two days :(
Let that be a lesson to all of you.
Postponement?
Keep your eyes on this site Thursday from 6pm for an announcement about Saturday, it’s really bad weather at the moment so we may have to postpone!
All official updates from here, so tune in from 6pm on Thursday to find out more. Fingers crossed!
Check the weather website for the forecast.
CANBERRA
This may not be as much fun when it’s a wet and lonely ampitheatre. If you know a rain dance, do it now.

Sick, look who’s playing at Sydney’s best new space.
Well just look at that tumblr on that bill!
Checkit! H-U on another bill!
Hello, Sydney. Info above.
Canberra, see you at 1200-1220 at Commonwealth Park, SAME DAY.
We have plans to go 110% in Canberra (as it will more than likely be our last show for 2010 in CBR), so imagine how desperate we will be in Sydney.
Plus, we’re playing with hardcore bands (I think…), and we are NOT a hardcore band, so we’ll be very much trying to overcome our lack of credibility with noise.
When life gives you lemons, make noise.

The line up, Saturday 16 October
Hoodlum Shouts - Kasha - Horse Macgyver - Jonny Telafone - Waterford - Cat Cat - Voss - From The South - Julia & the Deep Sea Sirens - Ellis Collective - Killing Birds - Jerkstore - The Warm Jets - Heute-Und
Worth following for updates for what will be a sweet, sweet musical day.
>Too Soon, live from a rehearsal session.
Video shot by @mome_raths on a Canon 5Dii. Audio from same source.
Edited, manipulated, and compressed to death by Heute-Und using AutoDesk Smoke and FCP.
Go Where The Love Is, late-2010.
Heute-Und live is James Thomson on drums and vocals, Simon Atkinson on guitars and vocals, and Jamie Lee Morris on bass.
Recording a demo and got carried away. This is straight out of the guitar (via pedals obviously) and into the computer via mbox.
The demo sounds better. I’m listening to it now and I’m kind of excited.

Our first show last night.
Not a fairytale start by any means, but fun. I don’t think we ever went into this to win adoring crowds anyway.
If anyone knows who took this, let me know so I can credit it.
That reminded me to tell you that rehearsals are going strong, and shows will be announced soon.

Wintercoats - Cathedral EP (Free Download)
Well here it is, Two months late.
Hopefully you enjoy it.
A few pops and crackles in the mix, but, well, eh!Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?nj3nnoxdfxy

1. The Overture
2. Windmill
3. Unbearable Thinking
4. Cathedral
New music from Melbourne act Wintercoats.
Intricate dream pop sounds that I highly recommend.
>A really, really poorly recorded sample of what to expect in the near future. Also, no drums on this, not that you could tell. Bass heavy.
I shouldn’t put out awful recordings, but you know, excitement ++!
I had a big plan to launch this with my Triple J Unearthed page, as I finally got around to doing that, but because that takes a week or so to load, I couldn’t wait.
This is called Too Soon, and for the record, it’s not a B-side from Peninsula, or anything like that. It’s brand new, written over the last few weeks, and finished… about 30mins ago.
If you would like to download it (at a higher quality than on Unearthed), go to http://soundcloud.com/heute-und/too-soon
There’re already more songs that are well on the way to being finished, and I’m hoping to release an LP in late 2010.
Enjoy.
